Lancashire Constabulary has a central role to play in protecting the public and preventing victims, supporting those already suffering through violence and doing their part to secure the most successful prosecutions possible.
We must build on the partnership working that already exists to protect those who have fled traumatic experiences, work with victims and offenders to break cycles of offending and keep people safe.
Domestic Abuse Prevalence (CSEW)
There has been a gradual decrease in domestic abuse over the last 10 years. Prevalence of domestic abuse in the last year among people aged 16 to 59 years, England and Wales, year ending (YE) March 2005 to YE March 2024.
Sexual Assault Prevalence (CSEW)
Prevalence: 1.9%. A decrease of 0.3 percentage points (not statistically significant).
Stalking Prevalence (CSEW)
Prevalence: 2.9%. A decrease of 0.3 percentage points (not statistically significant).
